Be a Winter Warrior!!
Join Fleet Feet for this FREE Winter Program to help motivate you to stay active in the winter time. Simply come to one of our workouts and you will automatically be entered in the program.
This program is for walkers AND runners, exercise beginners and exercise fiends. We don't care, we just want you to stay active this winter!
One rule - no whining on the weather or else we can poke fun at you :)
The program is completely FREE and includes:
- A kickoff party with refreshments and treats on November 29th at 6pm
- Prizes along the way from socks to sack packs and more
- FREE group workouts
- Fabulous people to workout with and commiserate with on the winter weather
- The program is based on amount of points accrued by participating in workouts and local races (see below)
- At the end, the one with the most points will be deemed the Winter Warrior!!!
What can you win along the way?
25 points - a prize
50 points - a good prize
100 points - a Winter Warrior T-shirt
125 points - a better than good prize
150 points - "A Way to Go Pat on the Back" and another fun prize
Over 150 points - the enjoyment of knowing you are in great shape now and one your way to being a top Winter Warrior!
Those with the highest points by the end of March will be crowned Winter Warriors!
How do you accrue points?
Participate in any Fleet Feet Fun Run (walkers and runners welcome). These start at Fleet Feet and you must do the workout versus doing an alternate course to accrue points!
Each Fleet Feet Fun Run is Valued at 5 points (If you are in a training program that runs on Saturdays, that run can be included. All other training runs are excluded from earning points...sorry!)
- 3 to 5 Miles on Tuesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 8:45AM
- Themed fun run every third Thursday at 6PM (Dec 15, Jan 19, Feb 17, Mar 17)
Each of the following local events are valued at 3 points:
- Indoor Marathon Relay - January 21 (sign up at store ends Dec 15)
- 6 Legged Race - February 4th
- Frostbite 5K - February 25th
How do you join the Winter Warrior Program?
Come to a workout anytime between November 29th and March 6th, then you're in!
